Professor Bohdan Mochnacki is working at the Częstochowa University of Technology. At present he is a head of the Institute of Mathematics.
He is the author of  very big number of scientific papers presented, among others, in  Journal of Materials Processing Technology, Computational Modelling of Free and Moving Boundary Problems, Advances in Boundary Element Technique, Archives of Foundry Engineering, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Computational Mechanics, Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics, Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics, Computer Modeling in Engineering and Sciences, Journal of Computational and Applied Mechanics, Computer Assisted Mechanics and Engineering Sciences, Materials Science Forum, Bulletin of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Computer Methods in Materials Science, Computer Modeling in Engineering and Sciences etc.
He is also the author (or co-author) of 6 books and monographs and 3 academic manuals.
Scientific research of prof. Bohdan Mochnacki is connected with the numerical modeling of physical and technological processes, in particular the problems of heat and mass transfer are analyzed. A big number of papers and books are devoted to the numerical modeling of solidification process, the heat transfer in domain of biological  tissue, the numerical solutions of direct and inverse problems, the application of sensitivity analysis etc.
Prof. B. Mochnacki delivered the lectures for students and post-graduate students from different universities in Poland and abroad (mathematical analysis, algebra, numerical methods, modeling of physical processes, mathematics in economy, applied informatics etc.).
