Scientific interests of Dr. D. Asendrych are focused on physics and metrology of fluid flows, numerical modelling of flow and heat transfer in microchannels and modelling fibre suspension flows. Dr. Asendrych gives lectures on advanced fluid mechanics, signal analysis and fluid-flow metrology in Polish and English. He is a secretary of Polish Pilot Centre of ERCOFTAC (European Research Community On Flow Turbulence And Combustion), member of PTMTS (Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics) and Fluid Mechanics Section of a Comittee of Mechanics of Polish Academy of Sciences. He worked as a grantholder of TEMPRA programme (2001) and as a "maitre de conference" (2002-2003) at Laboratory of Industrial and Geophysical Flows (LEGI), Technical University of Grenoble (France). Dr Asendrych is a tutor of English-taught course on "Energy Engineering", established thanks to European funding within the framework of TEMPUS programme. At present he coordinates at the university the implementation of the project "Kierunki zamawiane". Since 2000 Dr. Asendrych has been responsible for international student mobility at the faculty, being carried out within ERASMUS (formerly SOCRATES) programme and various bilateral agreements with foreign partners, including industry.

Scientific interests of PhD Eng. Manuela Ingaldi are connect to Quality of products, technology, standardization, statistics, rolling industry, environment protection, management. Her teaching activities include: Production Management, Quality Management, Quality Engineering, Quality Control of Products, Production Engineering, Quality Systems. She is an auditor of Integrated Management Systems. She took part in 4 international project in cooperation with TU-VSB Ostrava. At present she takes part in Tempus project "Environmental management in Russian companies - retraining courses for the sensibilization for and integration of Eco-Audit programs in corporate decision-making (RECOAUD)" in cooperation with Dresden Technical University, Germany, University of Ziline, Slovakia, University of Maribor, Slovenia, Samara State Transport University, Omsk State Transport University, Ural State Transport University, Tyumen State University of Oil and Gas Technology, Russia.

Michał Turski is a PhD. Eng. of environmental engineering. His fields of expertise are adsorption, absorption and open cooling systems, technical and economic analysis of heating and cooling processes, audyting and energy certification of buildings, municipal and maintenance of power engineering, demand reduction for the primary energy, installations from the range of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, internal air quality, unconventional energy sources - solar energy, parameters of building and installation systems optimization, thermal comfort conditions. In addition, he conducts research on hybrid systems supplying energy to the building, and especially research related to improving the efficiency of district heating systems.

 

Michał Turski PhD. Eng. teaches Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, District Heating and Heating, Energy Audit and Special Systems of Thermal and Refrigerating. He is the author and co-author of over 30 scientific and scientific & technical papers, author and the co-author of 11 reports on research works and scientific projects and author of energy audits of buildings, energy efficiency audits, energy performance certificates as well as projects in the sector of construction and installation.

Prof. PCz dr hab. Magdalena Zabochnicka-Świątek is a researcher and an academic lecturer at Czestochowa University of Technology, Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment. She possesses a multidisciplinary education and holds DSc. (Habilitation) and PhD in Environmental Engineering, MSc in Laboratory Diagnostics, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business English. She is an author or co-author of >100 scientific publications and a monograph “Removal of ammonium nitrogen from wastewater in the processes of sorption and biosorption”, Czestochowa University of Technology Publishing House, Częstochowa. (In Polish).

As a researcher she focuses on environmental engineering, environmental biotechnology and renewable Energy sources (RES). Her main interests are biological wastewater treatment by microalgae and natural sorbents, production of agricultural protein-rich biofertilizer from algal biomass and zeolites. She specializes in cultivation of algae and applications of algal biomass for production of different types of renewable biofuels of third generation and also utilization of biomass as high-protein animal feed, food, biopolymers/bioplastics, biosorbents, medicines and cosmetics. Moreover, her research interests include immobilization of contaminants in the environment by application of natural and synthesized sorbents and CO2 capture.

She is an expert evaluator of the Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development in the fields of environmental protection and engineering and Energy. She is a consultant in the above mentioned fields for the Polish Ministry of Investments and Development.

In the range of her interests are also commercialization of scientific results, business innovation and novel teaching methods (e-learning, mentoring).
